In April 2002, Adolor entered into a worldwide collaborative agreement with GlaxoSmithKline for the joint development and commercialization of ENTEREG® (alvimopan). This collaboration resulted in FDA approval of ENTEREG on May 20, 2008 for the acceleration of upper and lower gastrointestinal (GI) recovery following partial large or small bowel resection surgery with primary anastomosis.

In December of 2007, Adolor entered into an exclusive worldwide collaboration with Pfizer Inc to develop and commercialize novel pain compounds. These proprietary Delta Opioid Receptor Agonists offer the promise to treat a range of pain conditions.
