Adolor Corporation is developing and commercializing drugs that treat moderate - to - severe pain and address the limitations of current opioid analgesics.

ENTEREG® (alvimopan), Adolor's first commercial  product, was approved by the FDA on May 20, 2008 to accelerate upper and lower gastrointestinal (GI) recovery following partial large or small bowel resection surgery with primary anastomosis.

Adolor has a collaboration agreement with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) for the continued development and commercialization of ENTEREG for postoperative ileus.

Adolor has an exclusive worldwide collaboration with Pfizer Inc to develop and commercialize novel delta opioid receptor agonists for a wide range of inflammatory, neuropathic and acute pain conditions.

Adolor is also developing ADL7445 and ADL5945 to treat opioid bowel dysfunction (OBD), a condition that often results from chronic use of opioid analgesics to treat persistent pain conditions.

Adolor's other product candidates are in preclinical development for treating moderate-to-severe pain and other central nervous system conditions.

Through Adolor's Charity Committee, employees have supported a number of healthcare causes. The company is a corporate sponsor for Achieve-Ability.

Adolor is an active member of the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Industry Organization (PABIO) and a member of the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO).
